Plastics Design & Manufacturing is expanding in Montana
Plastics Design & Manufacturing Inc. (PDM) is expanding its Manhattan, Montana injection molding facility. The 20,000 square foot extension will be used to expand the company’s two-shot injection molding business, including two new Arburg 550-ton machines. The expansion is expected to be completed by the beginning of October 2021.
“PDM recorded significant growth in 2020 and will continue the trend in 2021,” said PDM owner and CEO Michael Groff. “We expect to end the year with sales of approximately $17 million.” PDM has facilities in Montana, Mexico and China and creates products for the consumer, recreational, and communications markets, among others. Plastikon Expands to Texas to Produce Parts for Tesla
Plastikon plans to expand to Kyle, Texas to manufacture parts for Tesla
Plastikon, a plastics injection molding and thermoforming company, is expanding to Kyle, Texas. The company, based in Hayward, California, serves the automotive, medical and consumer industries. Plastikon has leased an almost 100,000-square-foot facility and is expected to supply parts to the new Tesla factory in Austin. Plastikon currently supplies products for the Tesla Fremont, California plant.
The new facility is expected to open in Fall 2021. Plastikon hopes to add 75 to 100 jobs initially, with another 100 positions being filled before the end of the year. Read more about Plastikon’s expansion to Texas here.
