Robot Reduces Cycle Time with Coordinated Machine
IQ motion control will now be a part of all new standard equipment for ENGEL viper linear robots starting from October 2021. It will become the very first system available to ensure an early start joined with improved path planning for the robot. The assistance system iQ motion control ensures decreased cycle times. In machine tending applications, the overall goal of industrial robots relies in their capability to significantly cut cycle times down to improve their overall efficiency. If the robot is matched up exactly to the injection molding machine it will then shorten the cycle time with up to 10%. To be able to shorten the cycle time even more, matching up the movement sequences of the injection molding machine precisely can contribute to the time. Mainly in the areas where there are molded parts. For example housing components and boxes or containers with a long core benefit rather greatly.
