Wacker Develops New Additive Masterbatch Useful for Molding Recycled PE
Wacker’s new silicone-based masterbatch, set to be highlighted at the K 2022 exhibition, shows new, exciting properties, especially in how it interacts with recycled PE. The masterbatch (Genioplast PE50S08) is showing to be a highly effective processing aid. The silicon component of Genioplast PE50S08 greatly improves the distribution of fillers and the fluidity of the polymer melt. This greatly decreases the energy required for compounding the material. This is especially valuable for processing recycled PE, where the mixture contains many kinds of PE. Genioplast PE50S08 can be used in dosages of 1-3% and can easily be used in a standard system.
